  • Mission: To support and promote the interests of patients with the chronic form of Tietze’s syndrome and/or costochondritis. Furthermore everything that is directly or indirectly related to these issues or can be conducive to this in the broadest sense of the word
  • Vision and policy: The multi-year policy plan is compiled 3 annually with input from the members and serves as the basis for the annual plans. The annual plans are submitted to the general membership meeting for review and approval.
  • Board composition: Our association board is formed by six board members: Erica Mulders/President; Gerard Bruggeling/Treasurer/Secretary; Rob Braamburg/General Board Member, Melanie Peterman/General Board Member; Desirée Blankestein/General Board Member.
  • Remuneration policy of the board: The board members receive no salary for their work and commitment. In this sense they are volunteers of the association. However, there is a provision in the By-Laws that board members receive a modest compensation if appointments are made off-site. Reimbursement of expenses to these officers will only take place on the basis of costs actually incurred.
  • Compensation policy for committee members: There are many volunteers who serve on committees. It is the policy of the Association that these officers receive no remuneration. In this sense, they are volunteers of the association. Reimbursement of expenses to these officers will only take place on the basis of costs actually incurred

ANBI information

The Association for Tietze and Costochondritis Patients has been classified by the tax authorities as an Institution for General Benefit (ANBI). This means that the association and its donors enjoy tax benefits.

Donations deductible

Gifts and donations made by our donors may be deducted in income or corporate tax returns under certain conditions. The association is also not required to pay gift or inheritance tax on gifts or inheritances received.
