Training for young people

Acceptance, sharing tips & tricks, meeting other sharers and having a moment to yourself is what the youth training focuses on. Each training is slightly different and deals with different topics.Nevertheless, all youth training sessions are centered around the needs of the young people within our association and focus on learning how to cope with Tietze and/or costochondritis. Learning to cope with the condition, the pain, the uncertainty and the effect of the condition on your life, as a person, as a partner, physically, within a social context, in your job, during your studies, etc.

The training provides you with a number of skills (tricks) that can support you in everyday life. What makes this training extra special is that you can do this together with your peers and that there is a lot of time for sharing your own experiences (tips). You can also follow this training if you have followed a training before or have worked on yourself.

Scientific basis for this training

The Tietze Youth Training is based on the principles of ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), a scientifically researched treatment method and behavioral therapy (Steven C. Hayes (USA)). In addition, appropriate scientific models from psychology are used to offer a well-founded training. Which models are used depends on the topics during the training.
